Pokemon Emerald, rebuilt as a Game Boy Color game on the engine of Pokemon Crystal. After Hoenn's story the journey goes on to Johto and Kanto, the way Crystal opened Kanto after Johto.

How it will work
Your own two games
You will need your own copies of Pokemon Crystal (the English release, revision 1) and Pokemon Emerald (the US release). This site will never host either game.
Built in your browser
A page on this site will build Emerald Color on your computer from your two files. Nothing is uploaded.
Play it
On an emulator on a desktop computer, on a phone, on a flash cart or on a real Game Boy Color.

What is it?
An unofficial fan project that rebuilds the 2005 Game Boy Advance game Pokemon Emerald as a Game Boy Color game, running on the engine of Pokemon Crystal with Crystal's battle rules. After Hoenn's story, Johto and Kanto follow, as Kanto followed Johto in Crystal.
Will I need my own games?
Yes. You will need your own copies of both games. This site will never host or link to either game and will never offer a ready-made Emerald Color ROM.

Emerald Color is an unofficial fan project. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Nintendo, Game Freak or The Pokemon Company, and it is free, with no ads and no sign-up.
